It was a tough decision but finally we have a winner for this year. Ana was the final judge and she chose a super photo from Sylvere Leprovost as her favourite from all those entered by Street Team Members.
We asked Ana to sign the photo (see left) when she was in Cologne recently and it will be on its way to Sylvere soon with some other AP goodies.
Thanks again for all entries and I'm sure you'll agree the winner is a great shot!

Robert Cray’s This Time – the first studio album on singer-songwriter-guitarist Cray’s own imprint Nozzle Records, distributed by Vanguard Records – arrives at a vital juncture in the musician’s career, marked by creative renewal and a key reunion with an old performing partner.
The five-time Grammy Award winner summarized 35 years of mastery on the debut Nozzle release Live From Across the Pond (2006), an electrifying two-CD concert set drawn from a series of shows (opening for Eric Clapton) at London’s Royal Albert Hall. When the time came to follow up that widely praised collection with a studio recording, Cray viewed it as an opportunity to move his sound in other directions.
He found exactly what he was looking for by turning to one of his oldest friends and colleagues: bassist Richard Cousins, whose tenure with the Robert Cray Band began with its barnstorming regional origins in Eugene, Oregon, in 1974 and extended through 1991, encompassing such early high-water marks as Strong Persuader (1986) and Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark (1988), both winners of the best contemporary blues performance Grammy.
Ana Popovic
The most impressive aspect of Ana’s music is her diversity of techniques and styles. Her blend of smoking electric funk slide guitar, jazzy instrumentals, tight blues groove, soulful feminine vocals and her incredible stage presence makes her an irresistible force in the music world. Her career has been meteoric, and shows no signs of slowing down. Ana is the first European ever nominated for ‘Best New Blues Artist’ at the W.C. Handy Award Show in Memphis, Tennessee (2003).
She was also nominated for 'Best Blues Album' at the Jammie Awards in New York City, a three way nominee for 'Best Vocalist', 'Best Guitarist' and 'Best Album' at the French Blues Awards (2002) and she won the prestigious jazz award 'Jazz A Juan revelation In Juan Le Pins' (France 2004).

Together with Koko Taylor, Ruthie Foster and Tommy Castro the American Music Research Foundation (AMRF) presents Ana Popovic on an amazing DVD including interviews, a jam hosted by Tommy featuring Ana, Tony Braunagel (Drums), Michele Papadia (keys) and many others.
The Blues come in many shades, from electric to indigo. In this live program four brilliant artists present 4 Shades of Blues. Grammy winner and undisputed Queen of the Blues, the late Koko Taylor & Her Blues Machine perform in the low-down, gritty electric style of Chicago. Texas’ Ruthie Foster explores the acoustic and gospel-tinged blues. Tommy Castro brings the funky side of blues honed in the San Francisco Bay area. Belgrade’s Ana Popovic is an electrifying guitarist who says, “I wanted to be too bluesy for jazz and too jazzy for blues.”
In addition to the complete program as seen on public television, the disc contains 35 minutes of bonus material presenting additional performances and interviews with the artists.
Delta Groove's Best Selling Release in 2008 - Still Making History
The very first artist on our Eclecto Groove label was, of course, Ana Popovic. Her first release, Still Making History, spent a total of 19 weeks on the Billboard Blues Charts, hitting its peak position of #3. Now recognized as one of the hottest guitarists in the world, Serbian born Ana is not only making history, but well on her way to lasting international stardom. The album’s total sales, including our parent company Delta Groove’s releases, topped the list of all our offerings that first year.
Now Ana’s second album on our label, Blind for Love is displaying exceptional activity and crossing over to Triple A, yet appealing still to the blues market. Produced this time out by Mark Dearnly (AC/DC, Tom Petty, Paul McCartney) and Ana herself, the album serves up an appealing dish of eclectic music that is changing perceptions about her ability to cross over to several different genres.
Ana Popovic tells Vince Abbate from BluesWax Magazine how she juggles being a mom and a Blues performer. Anyone who thought Ana Popovic was just another pretty face when she first announced herself to the Blues world has been proven mistaken.Nearly a decade after powwowing with producer Jim Gaines in Memphis and the subsequent release of Hush, the native of former Yugoslavia is going from strength to strength. After recording another pair of albums for German-based Ruf Records, the singer/songwriter and guitarist made the leap and signed with Delta Groove subsidiary Eclecto Groove. Ana Popovic Nothing Personal?
